Kiptopeke State Park offers four yurts on Virginia's Eastern Shore, 562 acres along the Chesapeake Bay about nine miles from Cape Charles and three miles from the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel. One deluxe yurt has electricity and climate control and sleeps six; the three standard yurts sleep three each (queen bed plus twin trundle) with no electricity and operate seasonally from March through December. Each yurt includes a large wooden deck, picnic table, charcoal grill and fire ring with cooking grate. Guests bring their own linens. The park features an unguarded swimming beach, a fishing pier and renowned bird-migration habitat, roughly 45 minutes from Norfolk and Virginia Beach.
