First Landing State Park has four yurts set in the dunes along the Chesapeake Bay in Virginia Beach, part of a 2,888-acre park with 1.5 miles of sandy bay beach frontage. Each yurt features a large wooden deck, two picnic tables, a pedestal grill and a fire ring with cooking grate; inside are a bed with twin trundle, sofa, chair, coffee table and dining table, accommodating up to four guests. There is no electricity, water or lighting inside the yurts, and guests bring their own linens. The park's frame cabins are closed for renovation, but the yurts remain open for reservations. Nearby campground bathhouses provide restrooms and showers.
