Methodology & data
How we source & verify glamping listings
USA Glamping Directory maintains a verified dataset of 1,636 glamping stays across 51 US states. Here’s exactly where the data comes from, how it’s verified, and how often it’s refreshed.
Where the data comes from
Listings are aggregated from public and verified sources, then normalized into one consistent record per property.
Every published stay has a real booking link
A listing is only published if it has a working outbound link to the property's own website or booking system. No dead ends, no fees, no commissions.
Links are re-checked continuously
An automated job re-verifies outbound links on a rolling basis and unpublishes any that go dead, so the directory stays accurate.
Real data only
We don't invent listings, ratings, or contact details. Owners can claim and correct their listing at any time.
Our data sources
As of July 2026, the 1,636 published listings break down by source as follows. Every source is public or owner-provided, and every published listing is deduplicated and link-verified.
| Source | Published listings |
|---|---|
| Recreation.gov / RIDB (U.S. federal open data) | 679 |
| Google Places (business discovery) | 300 |
| Verified operator & chain websites | 21 |
| Total published | 1,636 |
