Privacy Policy

This is written to be read, not skimmed past. The short version: we run a free directory, we collect very little, and we don't sell any of it.

What we collect

Messages you send us. When you use the contact form, we store what you type: your name, email address, the topic you choose, and your message. We use it to reply to you and to act on the request (for example, correcting or removing a listing). That's it.

Owner submissions. If you submit a property, we store the listing details you provide (property name, location, amenities, links) plus your contact name and email so we can follow up during review. The listing details are intended for publication; your contact details are not published.

Anonymous outbound-click analytics. When you click through from a listing to a property's website or booking page, we record that the click happened. This tells us which listings people find useful. There are no accounts on this site, and these click events are not tied to your name or a profile of you.

Standard technical logs. Like nearly every website, the infrastructure providers that host this site and its database may keep routine technical logs (such as IP addresses and request timestamps) for security and reliability. We don't use these to identify or profile visitors.

What we don't do

  • We don't sell your data. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone.
  • We don't run advertising trackers. No ad networks, no cross-site tracking pixels, no third-party scripts that build a profile of you.
  • We don't require accounts. You can browse everything on this site without signing up or telling us who you are.
  • We don't send marketing email. We only email you in reply to something you sent us, or about a listing you submitted.

Cookies

This site is deliberately cookie-light. We don't set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Any cookies or similar storage that appear are limited to what's technically needed to serve and secure the site. There's no cookie banner because there's nothing to consent to.

Where your data lives

Contact messages, submissions, and click events are stored in our database, hosted by Supabase. Access is restricted: public visitors to the site can read published listings but cannot read messages or submissions.

Your choices

Want a message you sent us deleted, your submission withdrawn, or your property removed from the directory? Ask through the contact form (choose the topic that fits) and we'll take care of it.

Changes to this policy

If USA Glamping Directorychanges how it handles data, we'll update this page and the date at the top. We won't quietly start doing any of the things listed under “what we don't do.”
