Four Mile Creek State Park sits on the Lake Ontario shoreline about 20 minutes north of Niagara Falls, and it is one of only three New York State Parks offering yurts. The park's yurts are wood lattice-framed structures with heavy-duty reinforced fabric sides, insulated liners, windows, a domed roof and wood floors. Each yurt is furnished with three bunk beds and mattresses plus a refrigerator, microwave and heat/AC units, so they are usable in cool weather. The surrounding campground has 272 campsites (172 with electric hookups) in a wooded setting with lake access. Yurts rent for $100/day or $400/week for NY residents ($107/$428 non-residents) and are reserved through Reserve America.
