Evangola State Park on Lake Erie, southwest of Buffalo, offers six yurts plus one rental cabin within its lakeside campground near the park's arc-shaped natural sand beach and Angola shale cliffs. The yurts are wood lattice-framed structures with heavy-duty reinforced fabric sides and insulated liners, with windows, domed roofs and wood floors. Each yurt is furnished with six cots with mattresses, a refrigerator and a microwave, and rents for $90.75 per day for New York residents ($97.75 non-residents). The single cabin rents for $448 per week for NY residents ($476 non-residents). Evangola is one of only three New York State Parks with yurts, and all units are reserved through ReserveAmerica.com.
