Beachside State Recreation Site is a small, seasonal destination campground a few miles south of Waldport where every campsite sits seconds from a broad, sandy beach known for kite flying, storm watching and whale watching. The park offers 2 yurts, one of them pet-friendly, and both yurts are accessible to campers with disabilities. The campground operates seasonally from March 15 through October 31, weather permitting, making this one of the smallest but most beach-adjacent yurt stays in the Oregon State Parks system. Reservations are required for yurt stays and can be made six months in advance.
