Taughannock Falls State Park rents cabins that overlook Cayuga Lake in the Finger Lakes, minutes from its namesake 215-foot waterfall — taller than Niagara — which plunges past rocky cliffs towering nearly 400 feet above the gorge. Cabins are available May 15 through October 12, with rates starting at $59 per night or $266 per week (non-NY residents pay more). During prime season (June 27-August 28) cabins book by the week, Saturday to Saturday; shoulder seasons carry a two-night minimum. Cabin guests are close to the park's marina, boat launch and lakefront beach, plus gorge and rim trails to the falls overlook. Reservations are made through Reserve America.
