Pocahontas State Park, 7,919 acres about 20 miles southwest of Richmond, offers four yurts and six camping cabins. The yurts, set in wooded areas of the main campground and available March through December, sleep three each on a queen bed and twin trundle (maximum occupancy four) and feature large wooden decks with patio tables and fire rings; they have no electricity, water, heat or air conditioning. The six camping cabins (Camp Cabins 01-06) are available year-round, sleep up to four on two sets of bunk beds, and include a table, chairs, porch and electrical outlets, with no bathroom, kitchen or climate control. The park encompasses three lakes, including 225-acre Swift Creek Lake, and over 90 miles of multi-use trails.
