Pine Mountain State Resort Park Log Cabins & Cottages
Pineville, KY
About this stay
Pine Mountain State Resort Park — Kentucky's first state park, opened in 1924 on the Pine Mountain ridge in the Appalachians — rents nine one-bedroom log cabins with stone fireplaces and private decks plus eleven two-bedroom cottages with porches or decks in wooded settings, twenty units in all. The log cabins date to the Civilian Conservation Corps era; the CCC began building the park's cabins, roads, bridges, shelters and trails in 1933. Grills are furnished for cabins and cottages, and a limited number of units accept pets. Hiking trails wind from the accommodations through forest to waterfalls and overlooks near Pineville in southeastern Kentucky.
