Cumberland Falls State Resort Park, home of the 125-foot-wide waterfall famous for its moonbow, rents 25 cottages scattered through the forest near the Cumberland River, plus 20 secluded woodland rooms as an alternative to the main DuPont Lodge. Like all Kentucky State Resort Park cottages, they come with full kitchens and private yards, porches or patios, with tableware, cooking utensils and linens provided. The park sits in the Daniel Boone National Forest near Corbin in southeastern Kentucky, with hiking trails to the falls, gorge overlooks and Eagle Falls. Cottages are reserved through the Kentucky State Parks online reservation system up to a year in advance.
