Lackawanna State Park, a 1,445-acre park ten miles north of Scranton centered on 198-acre Lackawanna Lake, rents two yurts and three camping cottages in the Carpentertown Loop of its campground, open mid-April to mid-October. Each yurt sleeps four to five and is outfitted with a cooking stove, microwave oven, refrigerator, countertop, table and chairs, and electric heat and outlets. The three camping cottages sleep five each, with wooden walls and floors, windows, a porch, and electric lights and outlets. Campground restrooms and showers serve both unit types. The lake is ringed by picnic areas and multi-use trails, with boating, fishing, mountain biking, and swimming nearby.
