About this stay
Grayson Highlands State Park offers four yurts in Hickory Ridge Campground, high in Virginia's alpine-like highlands near Mount Rogers and Whitetop Mountain, the state's two tallest peaks, with elevations over 5,000 feet and wild ponies roaming the balds. Each yurt sleeps three (one queen bed and a twin trundle) and has a large wooden deck with picnic table and four rocking chairs, plus a second picnic table and fire ring with cooking grate, and an indoor dining table for four. There is no electricity, heat or air conditioning, and cooking and pets are not permitted inside. The rental season runs May 1 through the first Sunday of November with a two-night minimum.
