Sylvan Lake State Park, 16 miles south of Eagle in the White River National Forest high country, rents nine cabins and three yurts. Cabins are nestled in the aspens steps from the lake, sleep up to six (one large cabin sleeps up to 12 with a full kitchen, living/dining area, and bathroom with shower), and include heat, solar lighting, a picnic table, fire ring/grill, and vault toilet access; three are ADA accessible and two are pet friendly. The three yurts sit in the trees 4.5 miles into the park on East Brush Creek Road, sleep up to six on a twin bunk and two futons with heat and solar lighting, and are available mid-May through mid-November. Cabins book year-round; standard units $90 per night.
