Sweetwater Creek State Park Yurts

Lithia Springs, GA

About this stay

Sweetwater Creek State Park, just west of Atlanta in Douglas County, offers 10 yurts (no dogs allowed) overlooking its wooded reservoir setting. Georgia State Parks' yurts are permanent wood-and-canvas structures furnished inside with electrical outlets, screened windows, a ceiling fan, a small heater and locking doors, sleeping up to six on bunk futons that fold out to full-size mattresses. Sweetwater Creek is the one Georgia yurt park where air conditioning is not listed. Each yurt has a private deck, picnic table, grill or fire ring and water spigot outside, and a bathhouse with hot showers and flush toilets is within walking distance. Cooking is not allowed inside the yurts. Reservations are made through the official Georgia State Parks reservation portal.
