Stargaze is one of Idaho Parks and Recreation's backcountry yurts in the Boise National Forest, about an hour and a half north of Boise. The yurt sleeps up to six on a futon and two bunk beds (bring your own bedding). It is equipped with a propane cook stove, a wood stove with firewood provided, solar-powered lights, kitchen basics including pots, pans, and utensils, plus an outdoor fire pit, picnic table, and pit toilet. In summer you can drive to within a few hundred yards; in winter, access is a one-to-three-mile ski or snowshoe trek. There is no electricity, cell service is limited to unavailable, and guests should bring their own drinking water. Up to two pets are welcome.
