Skidaway Island State Park, on the Intracoastal Waterway near Savannah, offers 3 yurts and 3 camper cabins amid maritime forest and salt marsh. The yurts are wood-and-canvas structures with furniture, electrical outlets, screened windows, a ceiling fan, a small heater, air conditioning and locking doors; they sleep up to four with a pull-out couch bed plus twin bunks, and Skidaway is the only Georgia yurt park where linens are provided. Pets are allowed only in yurt #1, and a bathhouse with hot showers is within walking distance. The camper cabins feature screened porches, air conditioning, bathrooms with showers, kitchens, master bedrooms and sleeping lofts. Reservations go through the official Georgia State Parks reservation system.
