Schafer State Park, a historic former logging-company park on the Satsop River near Elma, rents two cabins (C1 and C2) in its East Campground, a short walk from the river in a forested setting with a rocky beach. Each cabin is furnished with a heater and air conditioner, a full-size futon, a twin-size bunk bed that sleeps two, a table with four chairs and a small end table, and accommodates up to four guests. Bed linens are not provided, and cooking and smoking are prohibited indoors. Outside each cabin is a picnic table and fire pit, with bathrooms and showers nearby. No pets are allowed inside the cabins. Check-in is 4 p.m., checkout 11 a.m.
