Overview The Sage Creek Cabin is located in the Pryor Mountains on the Custer Gallatin National Forest. The cabin was built in 1892 to serve as a line cabin for horse and cattle operations before transitioning into the administrative office for the Pryor Mountain Ranger District in 1908. Today, the building's character is still reminiscent of the 1920's when the north wing and kitchen area were added to the original squared shaped building. Sage Creek Cabin is an excellent place to spend time relaxing, or an excellent base camp for spending time in the beautiful Pryor Mountains.
