Ridgway State Park, on Ridgway Reservoir between Montrose and Ouray in the San Juan Mountains, offers three year-round yurts. Colorado Parks and Wildlife describes them as round, tent-like structures with wooden lattice walls and ceilings and pinewood floors, offering stunning views of the surrounding peaks through all seasons. The yurts each sleep up to six people and include modern conveniences such as electricity, a microwave, a refrigerator, and a propane gas stove for heat. The park itself spans the reservoir shoreline at 28555 Highway 550, with three campgrounds (Elk Ridge, Dakota Terraces, and Pa-Co-Chu-Puk), swim beach, marina, and trout fishing on the Uncompahgre River tailwater.
