Raymond B. Winter State Park Camping Cottages
Mifflinburg, PA
About this stay
Raymond B. Winter State Park covers 695 acres of the Ridge and Valley Province in Union County, lying in a shallow basin within Bald Eagle State Forest, surrounded by rocky oak-and-pine ridges. Three camping cottages open in mid-April and close in mid-December, each sleeping five people with wooden walls and floors, windows, skylights, electric lights and outlets, electric heat, bunk beds, a porch, picnic table, fire ring, and a nearby shower house. Advance reservations require a two-night minimum, though walk-ins may stay one night. The adjacent 61-site campground, sandy swimming beach on Halfway Lake, and mountain trout streams make it a quiet central-Pennsylvania base.
