Occoneechee State Park on the John H. Kerr Reservoir (Buggs Island Lake) near Clarksville offers three yurts in Atlatl Campground (Campground C). Each yurt sleeps three on one queen bed and a twin trundle (maximum occupancy four) and features a large wooden deck, an outdoor picnic pad with fire ring and cooking grate, and an indoor dining table seating four. Yurts 1 and 2 have electricity; Yurt 3 has none and is ADA-accessible. There is no heating, air conditioning or running water, and a nearby bathhouse provides showers and restrooms. The park is named for the Native Americans who lived in the area for hundreds of years and offers lake fishing and boating.
