Nehalem Bay State Park sits on a four-mile sand spit between the Pacific Ocean and Nehalem Bay, near the towns of Nehalem and Manzanita on the north Oregon coast. The park offers 16 yurts, 9 of them pet-friendly, set in a campground tucked behind the dunes just a short walk over the sand to the beach. The park's improvement plan calls for adding cabins in coming years, some replacing aging yurts. Bikers, equestrians, paddlers, and beachcombers all use the park, which has a bike path and horse trails. Yurt reservations are accepted up to six months in advance.
