Mohican State Park, in the popular canoeing country of the Clear Fork Mohican River gorge near Loudonville, offers cabin-style getaway rentals in its campground. Two Sherman Cabins provide sleeping accommodations in a temperature-controlled environment with limited amenities — air conditioning and heat, a small refrigerator, and a microwave oven. The official ODNR getaway-rental rate sheet also lists Camper Cabin rentals at Mohican at $65 per night (Sherman Cabins are $70 per night). Reservations for both may be made up to six months in advance online or by calling the state reservation line, through the ReserveOhio system. The park is one of Ohio's busiest outdoor destinations, with river canoeing, the Clear Fork Gorge overlook, and an extensive trail network.
