McArthur-Burney Falls Memorial State Park, six miles north of Highway 299 on Highway 89 near Burney, rents 24 camping cabins near the park's famous 129-foot waterfall. Added in 2007, the cabins come in one-bedroom (12x12) and two-bedroom (12x18) layouts, with 22 cabins in the Pioneer Loop and 2 in the Rim Loop. Cabins have propane heat included in the nightly rate but no electricity or plumbing; campground restrooms serve the loops. The cabins are operated by concessionaire Vista Recreation and are closed during winter. Reservations open six months in advance through ReserveCalifornia.
