The Lily Lake Yurt is a backcountry shelter in the Lily Lake Ski Area on the north slope of the Wasatch-Cache National Forest near Evanston, Wyoming, maintained cooperatively by the Bear River Outdoor Recreation Alliance (BRORA) and the US Forest Service. The tree-shrouded yurt sits at about 8,900 feet and is reached by an approximately 3-mile ski from the trailhead; it is also snowmobile accessible, as it lies outside the non-motorized area. Accommodating groups of up to eight, the yurt is equipped with bunk beds, a propane cook stove with propane included, kitchen utensils, and plenty of firewood to ward off the cold. Reservations are required and are made through the Evanston Recreation Center, with winter and spring bookings opening the last Monday of October on a first-come, first-served basis.
