Lewis and Clark Trail State Park Teepees
Dayton, WA
About this stay
Lewis and Clark Trail State Park, a shady old-growth oasis on Highway 12 between Waitsburg and Dayton in southeast Washington, rents two summer-only teepees set in lush forest within walking distance of the Touchet River. Each teepee is 16 feet in diameter with a rubber floor and accommodates up to eight guests; they are unfurnished, so campers bring their own sleeping bags and pads. No cooking or smoking is allowed inside, but each unit has a picnic table and fire pit with grate outside, with bathrooms and showers nearby. Pets are allowed for an additional $15 per night, up to two pets per teepee. Check-in is 4 p.m., checkout 11 a.m.
