Fair Haven Beach State Park on Lake Ontario has one of the larger small-lodging inventories in the state park system: a 30-unit cabin colony, two additional cabins and four cottages nestled in gently rolling woodlands near the lakeshore. The cabin colony and campgrounds share centralized restrooms with showers, while the cottages are self-contained units. Most lodging operates seasonally from May 15 to October 12, but two cottages run extended seasons — Cottage 42 from early April to early December and Cottage 45 from early April to the end of November — allowing shoulder-season stays. The park's three campgrounds, beach and bluffs are all within walking distance of the cabin areas. Reservations go through Reserve America.
