Cuyuna Country State Recreation Area Yurts

Crosby, MN

About this stay

Cuyuna Country State Recreation Area, the famous red-dirt mountain-biking destination built on former iron-mine lands between Crosby and Ironton, offers three yurts available year-round along the west side of Yawkey Mine Lake. Each 20-foot yurt sleeps seven, furnished with two sets of twin bunk beds, a twin-over-full futon, table, chairs, benches, and glider. There is no electricity, and open flames and indoor cooking are not allowed; firewood for the woodstove heat is provided free in winter. The Binghamite and Manganese yurts have partial shade, while Silkstone is closest to the water and restrooms. Each yurt has a picnic table, fire ring with grill, and food storage locker outside. Pets are not allowed in the yurt camp area.
