Craig Lake State Park Yurts & Rustic Cabins
Michigamme, MI
About this stay
Michigan's most remote state park, spanning more than 9,700 acres in Baraga and Marquette counties, rents two backcountry yurts and two historic rustic cabins. The 20-foot Keewaydin Lake Yurt is ADA accessible and sleeps six with two bunk beds, an armoire and a woodstove with cooktop; the 16-foot Teddy Lake Yurt sleeps four with bunk beds and a wood stove. Neither has running water or electricity, and each includes a canoe with paddles and life jackets mid-May to mid-October. The Old Miller rustic cabins require a 2-mile hike: the Lodge sleeps 12 with a stone fireplace, and the Caretaker's Cabin sleeps eight. From November to mid-May, park roads are impassable and the yurts are a 4.8-mile trek in.
