Covered Wagon Ranch is a historic Montana dude ranch in continuous operation since 1925, set in a scenic canyon where the Gallatin River meets Taylor Fork Creek, just three miles from the northwest corner of Yellowstone National Park near Gallatin Gateway. Guests stay in historic log cabins with original 1920s charm, wood-burning stoves, rustic furniture, and private baths. The ranch experience includes hearty meals and attentive hosting, with days filled by horseback riding on experienced mountain horses, world-class fishing, hiking, inner tubing, roping, a rec hall, and a kids' program. Multi-day guided pack trips head into the surrounding backcountry. Many guests are returning families whose visits trace back generations — some to the stagecoach and Model-T era.
