Carter Caves State Resort Park in northeastern Kentucky rents eleven cottages set in the woods near its lodge, in a park known for more than 20 caverns including guided tours of Cascade Cave and X Cave. Like all Kentucky State Resort Park cottages, they feature full kitchens and private yards, porches or patios, with tableware, cooking utensils and linens provided. Above ground, the park near Olive Hill offers hiking trails past natural bridges and cliffs, a 45-acre lake, a golf course and one of the state park system's four equestrian campgrounds. Cottages are reserved through the Kentucky State Parks online reservation system.
