Allegany State Park, New York's largest at 65,000 acres, holds the state's biggest cabin inventory: 336 cabins across its two developed areas (206 in the Quaker Area on 20 cabin trails, 144 in Red House), plus eight cottages. The seven Fancher Cottages sit beside Quaker Run Creek and each has a bathroom with shower, refrigerator, cooking range and microwave; the Pitt Cottage is a vacation rental styled like a classic hunting lodge with the same amenities. Select winterized cabins and cottages are available year-round for four-season stays in the park's forested, un-glaciated valleys. Cabins rent for $154-$568 weekly, with daily rates at one-quarter the weekly charge. Reservations are required through Reserve America — no walk-up stays.
